Mens Ministry – L.T.G. Groups

WHAT is LTG?

LTG is a group of men committed to the consistent, disciplined transformation of their lives, to growing and maturing in their faith and to glorifying God in the process. We recognize that to achieve these goals, we must be transparent with and accountable to one another, knowing that… “As Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17).

WHY LTG?

Because we understand that accountability is power – Accountability gives us power (and reason) to resist temptation – Accountability disarms Satan’s power over our lives – Accountability/confession is good for the soul, promotes encouragement, maturity and healing. “Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed” (James 5:16).

HOW do we do LTG?

We begin with the understanding that we are all in this (Christian life) together, none of us is perfect, we all have issues that we need to work on and grow in. We also agree to absolute confidentiality, “What is said at LTG, remains at LTG”. We are here to confess our faults to one another (that we may be healed), not the faults of others. We agree to encourage, support and pray for one another. We read a Bible chapter together and seek to understand it and apply it to our lives. We then read a list of Accountability Questions agreeing to be honest and forthright with one another. We end in prayer for one another.

WHEN & WHERE do we meet?

We currently have 3 groups meeting; 2 on Tuesdays – 1 on Wednesdays. We generally meet from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at a local Starbucks. Please call Ted De Vesta (see church directory or contact church office) to discuss which group might be right for you or with any questions at all about LTG.
